Your best bet is making a disc image with Disk Utility. The proper instructions have been posted a few times here. You're going to either have to search for them in the forums or maybe a good soul made a guide for MacRumors.

If you happen to have the universal binary version and still have your disc image you purchased from the Mac Game Store, that disc image works great.

The main reason for the update is so that people can't play without the CD as it is esimated that for Halo on mac it has been downloaded more time that it has been bought. so i'm afraid your probably out of luck here.

it sucks having a cd case full of games that cant be made into disk images, i dont even like using disks on my iMac! one of the not so legal ways, depending on who you talk to, is to get a no-cd patch for it. the idea behind it is to allow those pirates to play games that they dont actually have. it is illegal to use a no-cd patch, that was stated on another forum i posted on. so its google magic for you unless i or someone else on these forums can help you.

No CD

Hey Guys,
No CD cracks are terribly hard to find, I suggest toast. I am yet to try it but you can make the disk image using Disk Utility (File/New/Disk image from Halo Disc 2), open it with Toast and it will create a virtual CD, the game should run... well, my theory anyway.

1. This topic is multiple years old.

2. Looking for a no CD crack for a game that no longer requires the CD strikes me as odd.

Isn't it against forum rules to suggest CD-cracks?

Anyway, deal with the disk, is it really that bad?

If you are worried about scratching the disk just burn a new one.

People are so lazy these days.
