Hamachi users?

So, I recently got Hamachi for my PowerMac (well, I got the pretty GUI version from hamachix.com), in the hopes that I could access my files from afar when I'm out of town. I was just wondering if anyone else uses this program on a regular basis, and if so, if they had any tips or advice for me? I'm fairly new to this kind of thing.
