hand brake crashes/visual hub error/isquint works sort of??

I can see why visual hub would not work it's old and will never be updated, hand brakes crashes when I hit start and isquint does work but will not add files to itunes. Of course this is all on snow leopard.
any converters out there that work with our beloved snowy??
