When ripping a DVD using handbrake. What are normal Fan speeds and CPU temps for your MBP?

Mine:

Fans: 6005 rpm
CPU A temp: 71
CPU usage: 178

Good, Bad, or Ugly?

That sounds about right. Handbrake will max all cores if need be, all in the name of speed :) Are you running the latest version? There are apparently improvements in x264 ripping speeds.

Oh! That's what's going on!

I got a MBP (2.2 Ghz C2D, slightly slower than my 2.4 C2D iMac), and noticed somehow ripping was much faster on my MacBook. Couldn't figure it out....

I'm running the newest Handbrake on my MBP, and the previous version on my iMac.
