So, I've been trying forever to get a clean compression without stutters of the Planet Earth series DVDs. I've tried every conceivable deinterlace method, even with 0.9.1, and in the ultra-smooth helicopter shots that are prevalent throughout the series, I still get stutter. I've tried all the different levels of deinterlacing, from fast to slowest and with and without detelecine, but I can't seem to get rid of a little bit of jumpiness in the smooth pans. My test chapter has been the chapter 5 of the second episode since it starts with some mountain shots. Has anyone gotten these videos to come out smoothly? I'm using a MacBook 2.0 C2D with 3.0GB of RAM so there should be no problem with it playing back smoothly.
