I haven't used Handbrake that much, I found a page that listed the settings for videos you want to put on your iPod and that's all I've really done. There was a part where it said to select from a drop down menu what you wanted to rip of the disc, and there were several options... it said to pick the longest one. That's if I wanted to rip a movie off a DVD. But what about ripping special features? Say a DVD has a music video in its special features that I want to get on my computer... is there any way to be sure I'm getting that or do I just have to pick a bunch of the shorter options in that drop down menu until I get lucky?

if you know about how long the feature is you should be able to guess accurately. Also, you should be able to tell by clicking on the picture settings menu.
