Handbrake Application Errors

I recently used Handbrake, but today I am unable to use it as every time it begins scanning a DVD as the source, it quits with an application error. I restarted my Mac...didn't help. I deleted the app and reinstalled it, that didn't help either.

Any suggestions, or recommendations for other similar apps? Thanks!
