HandBrake audio issues

I converted a DVD using HandBrake into avi and I need to convert that into mov. The trouble is, I can only see the video and not hear it. When I ripped from the video, it selected all of the video files and not the audio. I tried to re-do this, selecting audio files under the audio tab, but then these files are automatically selected under the video tab. What do I do to hear and see my video?
