Hey guys, I will be getting married soon and have been burning the dvd collection into my iMac(to get rid of huge dvd rack). I use handbrake and I usually configure it for my ipod touch. I want to view these movies on my 32 inch lcd vizio. I will be connecting it via minidvi to hdmi. Would these setting in handbrake make the movies look bad?

I haven't bought the adapter yet so would I be better off biting the bullet and gettin an apple tv? sorry for my ignorance, I just want the movies to look good on tv and ipod without having to take any unnecessary steps, any suggestions?

Thanks!

the only real solution right now is to encode each movie twice, once for the appleTV (or playback from the laptop) and once for the ipod. Ipod encodes will work on the appleTV, but look terrible. AppleTV encodes won't play back on an ipod.

A compromise would be to encode at 640x480, but this will take up extra room on the ipod and still not look great on the appleTV
