I've just been adding my DVD collection to my itunes library but recently i just realised i've been overlooking the filters.. particularly Decomb/Telecine.

i believe i just came across my first telecine content, since decomb did not remove any of the field lines. but telecine removed them completely.

my question is - is it safe to leave the Telecine filter on for all my DVD tv shows? does this affect non-telecine content? or does it just work like the smart decomb filter?

i'm hoping to just leave this filter on all the time for DVD's and not worry about it anymore.

my second question is - whats the best setting for decomb for picture quality (i.e. not encode time) ? i've been using fast, but i'm wondering if slow or another setting is better??

thanks for anyone who can help in advance.

Leave Decomb and Telecine to default and save it to your DVD profile.

It will only use it if it detects it.

good,Leave Decomb and Telecine to default and save it to your DVD profile.thanks
