I do not know why but handbrake just keeps stopping like not crashing or freezing just one minute it's gone... gone its not in my dock running and no crash report comes up. I don't know what's wrong. My only thought is maybe handbrake can't keep up with the pressure I'm putting on my computer I'm running rosetta at home and I am encoding video and trying to rip all at the same time.

are the permissions set right for the folder into which the file is being made?

see if it quits when ripping in the lowest quality available and without any other apps running. that shouldn't tax the system as much.

check you handbrake prefs to see where the file is being dumped. then go to that folder in the finder, highlight it, hit command-j, and at the bottom you'll see the ownership and permission options. make sure you (user) can read and write. Set other options as you like.
