I am converting a DVD into a .MP4 file to drop into Itunes. I am running on a MacBook Pro (OS X 10.5.8). Here is the process I am using: I pull the dvd file into Handbrake, it then loads the titles and chooses the longest one, I set the preset to Apple TV, check the box "large file size", and it is set to "MP4 file" format. After it finishes encoding the file, it pops onto the desktop. Here is where I am having the problem. When I try to drop it into Itunes it pops up under "movies" but under the picture it says "not available". I have also just tried to double-click the file on the desktop and it flashes on the screen like it is about to play, but then nothing. This is extremely frustrating because it takes a little over two hours for handbrake to encode the file. Please help!!
