Handbrake - mpv file unplayable.

I ripped a DVD using Handbrake with the constant quality slider at 100%. It produced a 22Gb mpv file (it's of a 90 minute concert). Neither Quicktime nor VLC will play it. Is this because I put the quality up too high? What's the highest quality I can get while still being able to play it?
