I'm trying to "backup" a copy of Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian on my MacBook Pro, but there is a problem.

When Handbrake scans the DVD it picks up 99 titles. Does anyone know how to successfully rip this movie?

I had the same problem with Wall-E (I think it's a new protection from Disney/Pixar) and all it required was someone to post which title to rip. All the other titles would rip out of order.

Any help appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

There are 99 titles and about 90 of them are all within seconds of each other. Because of this I don't know which one to rip, the longest one may not be right. If you have done it with the longest one even though it's only by a few seconds then I'll start the rip, but when I had this problem with Wall-E the title that I needed to rip wasn't the longest one.

You can use the preview tool to see what you're going to get. If necessary, open it in DVD Player, see how long the movie itself is, then find the chapter that's that length.

Rippin' Prince Caspian Solved!

I also had trouble. Wow, Disney got smart on this one! The secret is to rip Title #58. All 90 titles are different scrambled versions that give you the movie in mixed up order, which could be fun I guess. But, um, no. I googled the exact length of the film, and found it (2:29:54 in length) on another forum for rippin' software like HandBreak.

The disclaimer: I bought Prince Caspian, and activated the included digital copy, but it is 1.6gb which is way more than i want to give up on my iPhone. HandBreak lets you trim to 480x320 and choose your final file size, which I usualy make 400 or 500mb and it veiws GREAT on the iPhone.

So rip stuff you own people!

I actually found this puzzle a little fun to solve, kinda nice to outsmart Disney! Great film BTW!

Title 58 doesn't get the first chapters

Title 58 doesn't get the first chapters. it starts when Lucy almost gets hit by a car.

I don't know if it's even too tricky for this, but... put it in your DVD player, start playing it, and then check what title the DVD player is on after the actual movie starts (or else even, can't one just do the same with Apple DVD Player?).

DVD player shows Title 58. But when I rip 58, it always starts with chapter 2 even though it calls it chapter 1.

Chapter 1 starts with the pregnancy.
Chapter 2 starts with Lucy almost getting hit by a car.
