Handbrake Problems with Lion

My handbrake is not working. I have installed VLC. Handbrake opens, i choose the source and it will take a couple of minutes before the application closes. Don't know why this keeps happening! Anyone help?

Have The Same Problem Myself

Anyone got any solutions or is this Apple's way of making people pay for digital movies?
