Just received my new MBP this afternoon and wanted to test out the speed and check out Handbrake. For the life of me I cannot get this to work. It takes forever to read the disk scan and most of the time comes up with a message of "No valid source found" Tried Mac The Ripper to rip the disk and then use HB, no go. Same error. It's version 9.5. Any help would be welcomed

Last time I tried using Handbrake i download the wrong version, like there was a 32 bit and a 64 bit. Try the other one. I don't know why i thought of that; I haven't used HandBrake in a years. Also, reinstalling the correct version of VLC is needed, make sure you install a working copy of VLC first.
