HandBrake question

I was wondering if anyone had any experience in converting .avi files to .mp4...i have a 2 part .avi file and i am having some trouble with. I can't seem to get part 2 to sync with my iphone 2g or ipod 5th gen. part 1 works fine. i have tried the check box for the "ipod 5th gen support" with no luck.

does anyone have any suggestions? also any suggestions for an app or software that can combine multiple .avi, .mp4, .mpg files???

if you are able to get a video file into itunes and are having trouble syncing to an iphone or ipod, you can create a "iphone / ipod" version within itunes. simply right click and select...
