Handbrake / RipIt sound off

I am just curious if there is a setting I need to change or something but when I copy my dvd to my laptop to watch on a plane the sound with the voices is always off and i'll have to pause / play to get it to sync back together like 50x throughout the movie. When I return it to a disc the same thing happens, any ideas how to fix this issue?
