I am trying to rip DVDs to my iPod Classic and I have DVDShrink which I use to actually rip it, then I am using handbrake to convert it.

What should all my settings be set at in order to have good quality at about a gig per movie?
I selected the iPod high rez preset, but in the dimensions box (height/width) only the height is filled in automatically, why is this?
Also, what other settings should I use and why?

Thanks.

The height is filled in automatically because the iPod can only support a max resolution of 640x480, so it uses the maximum with and adjusts the height to keep the aspect ratio of the movie correct.
