Handbrake sound question

I'm ripping some of my DVDs to HB's :apple:TV2 preset. When I get my :apple:TV2 and use an optical wire to connect to my surround sound system will it play in 5.1 surround if the movie was encoded in that? Thanks in advance this forum is great.
 
It should as long as your receiver is AC3 Dolby Digital capable and your audio track setup is unchanged from the AppleTV2 preset (meaning 1 aac track and one AC3 surround track).
