Handbrake version 0.9.4 not detecting VLC

I have Handbrake version 0.9.4 for PowerPC installed on my iMac G4 and it will not detect VLC I have installed. I've tried older versions such as:
VLC 2.0.10.
VLC 0.9.10.
VLC 0.8.6i.
VLC 0.8.4a.

I get this message too.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

you have to download the intel 32 bit version of vlc. i remember seeing this some time back about handbrake not seeing vlc. just copy the 32 bit version to your applications folder but rename the ppc version to VLC PPC or else you will overwrite the original and then nothing will work
