Im merrily working through my TV series DVDs converting them for ATV....

MTR to rip the VOB file, then handbrake to convert to m4v...

Can anyone tell me an easier way (than encoding a bit, checking, then starting again) to identify which language the audio streams are....

The VOB files play back with VLC in English every time, but Ive had a few (mainly HBO series) that seem to magically turn French when Handbrake runs on them and/or the directors commentary also adds itself...

Thanks for any help!

I believe the problem might be ripping episodes to a single .vob. I think I've run into this causing the language labels to be lost. Using MTR to produce Video_TS folders should allow Handbrake to see the language labels for the individual audio tracks and allow you to easily choose the ones you want.
