I used to do A LOT of encoding from raw DVDs (VOBs) to MP4s but don't anymore. In the past I used Handbrake. For work I got a copy of CS6 Web Premium. I use it mainly for PS, DW and AI. Tonight I started playing with the bundled Media Encoder and now I'm wondering whether it's a viable replacement for Handbrake? I do the encoding mainly for watching on my AppleTV.

So, can I ditch Handbrake or not?

How is the speed of encoding with Adobe's program vs. Handbrake? Handbrake is kind of slow, IMO so if Adobe's is faster, that's one good reason to make the switch.

I'd be curious of this also. I have that Adobe bundle but haven't played with Adobe's version.
