Handbrake: What is 'iPod High-Rez'??

When selecting 'iPod High-Rez', the encode runs at a bit rate and image size that's higher than any ipod can cope with. So what's the point of it??

Hooking your iPod up to a TV and playing it on that.

I"m Watching/Listening to Transformers which was ripped with Handbrake and using iPod Hi-Rez and it looks fantastic on the iPod and looks good on the TV as well.

I also have about 50 more movies ripped with iPod hi-rez.
