Handcrank 16mm conversion?

For a fun project I'm trying to find a way to convert a 16mm camera (looking for cheap since this is more of a fun project.. thinking about a bolex but open to suggestions) anyway i want to convert the 16mm to an old fashion hand crank camera... and i don't me hand wind... im going more for the classic crank 2 times per second to get 24fps type thing... I want to test out a style similar to what tony scott used in beat the devil (if u havent seen it check it out on line... amazing short flick with gary oldman) and man on fire... Ive tried googling but can't find any type of guide to help me through the conversion... I wondered if anyone had done this or knew of some type of guide.. thanks!
