I have an iMac I set to put the display to sleep after 5 minutes. The machine itself never sleeps as it does a few things I need 24/7.
Handoff is working as intended, but I noticed any time it is triggered (opening Mail/Safari on my phone, for example), it wakes my iMac's display. Further, it also wakes the display when Handoff is no longer available. When at home my phone is always within Bluetooth range of the computer, so the display is frequently turning on and off as I check email and browse the web from my phone.
Is this intended? I wish I could turn it off, but can't see to find any such setting in Preferences.
