Handoff In iOS 8

Hi, I have iOS 8 beta and OS X Yosemite DP 1 running on my iMac mid 2010 21.5" Intel Core i3 and iPhone 5s CDMA Verizon and am trying to get Handoff working. I have it enabled in Settings on my mac and bluetooth is turned on as well as they are connected to the same network, but it is still not working. Are there any steps I need to take?
 
There are like five threads on the first page going over this. Please follow those.
