Handoff is working without Bluetooth

Seems since iOS11, you no longer had to have BT and WIFI ON, just the WIFI.
Can anyone else try? i see this on mac sierra with my ios11 ipad pro

When you say you don't have Bluetooth on, did you turn it off in settings or control centre? I'm guessing it was control centre, in which case it's not actually off - that button just disconnects active connections now. The reason for that is exactly what you've observed. Bluetooth is useful for handoff, watch connections, pencil and airpods. Things you probably want to remain working. WiFi in CC works similarly now too.
