Handoff not working between iPhone 6 and Early 2013 rMBP on El Cap

Just wondering if anyone had any solutions - I've seen heaps of people with handoff working. To specify, continuity appears to be working - I can text from my Mac, but Handoff doesn't.

Same set up. Not an El Capitan issue

The only way I can get it to work is to have my MBP use the iPhones internet connection over wifi/bluetooth

This is quite frustrating as both devices are listed as compatible
