Thanks for the find.. Im still not sure which way to go. Think I'm going to have to go to a store and try out similar models of size. 5.5 seems big but looking at the hands on review doesn't seem that bad.. idk..

when will the stores carry the iPhone? I have all stores BUT an apple store in my city.

Tough decision. The wife wants the iPhone and I'm still undecided. Part of me is go big or go home, but the other is do I want to go that size?

I think i'll be going with the silver, iPhone 6. I've had all the black/slate colors since the original iPhone. I think the white front will hide the fingerprints which are all over my iPhone 5.

holy crap that 5.5 is big, I'm 95% sure I'm going with the 4.7 but the improved battery life on the 5.5 is tempting.

After seeing the videos on Verge and Engadget, I'm going 5.5 - the phone looks easy enough to handle

I thought that too when I saw the battery life but it being a bigger display, one would think it would draw more power?

Anyone know when these phones will be on display in the store? The 6 Plus sounds tempting but dang that thing is big. I'd like to see one in person before I pre-order. The specs on the website show that the iPhone 6 Plus is 1.35" longer than an iPhone 5S. I know people wanted a bigger screen but wow. Pretty soon we'll be cramming laptops in our pocket. Doesn't seem all that long ago everyone was racing to make phones smaller.

Hands on with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus

How does the 6+ fit in the pocket of some good fitting jeans? Not tight but not baggy. I'm interested in seeing that.

that was my issue with Samsung making the galaxy bigger and bigger. I put it in my front pockets and would hate to have a bulky iPhone. I think i'm answering my question on which one I want to get.

Someone posted a link in another thread with a cut out of the 6+, using the dimensions on apple website.

All I can say is for a few months I had a Galaxy Note 3 (which is about the same overall dimensions as the 6+). I tried putting in my pocket for a few minutes at the store - seemed fine.

However, I quickly learned to hate living with it day to day. A quick test in the store is nothing - it was different in real-life, day-to-day use. Sitting down (anywhere), getting into the car with the phone in your pocket, at a restaurant, anywhere - just a pain (also, I don't wear skinny jeans or tight pants or anything - I do however have muscular legs, so that may account for some of the discomfort).

I also found that the "big new screen" really wasn't that great once I had it. When I wanted a bigger screen, what I really wanted was my ipad or laptop - not just an extra inch or two of screen real estate. Needless to say, I quickly came back to Apple (for both phone size and iOS).

It's a shame they put premium features in the 6+ - personally I wouldn't want a phone that big again.
