Hi guys,

I live in the UK and after the announcment last night, I'm totally gutted that 02 haven't dropped the price in the UK. So the prices for the iphone in the UK for the handset only on pay as you go are:

* iPhone 3G 8GB - £342.50
* iPhone 3G S 16GB - £440.40
* iPhone 3G S 32GB - £538.30

So I was wondering, how much is it for the handsets on their own in the US? If that is possible? If it's a lot cheaper than I think i'll get one there!

Thanks,

Sam

It's $199 USD for the 8GB 3G and $299 USD for the 16GB 3G. The only problem is that while you can buy them contract free, they are still locked to the AT&T network, and with the latest firmware they can't be software unlocked.

That is the contract pricing:

Out of contract you are at $599/699 for the 16GB/32GB respectively.
