I am looking for an app that will let me take handwritten notes and store the resulting note in my Evernote account. Bonus points if it converts handwriting to text.

There are a few apps but most are paid. I don't want to buy an app and then find out it won't do what I want.

I assume you have seen the ones listed in the Evernote trunk, like Noteshelf/Inkiness/Touchwriter? The big issue with handwriting apps is that the are huge differences between the ones that do it well, and the ones that don't. I've tried a ton of them, and find Penultimate to be the best by a significant margin, followed by Notetaker HD. Neither of these have direct Evernote export, but you can email them directly to Evernote as a PDF.

Of those listed in the trunk, I have Noteshelf, which is pretty decent.

Thanks, I'll look at those. I was considering Inkiness and WritePad. I did not know about the evernote trunk, I will check that out.

BTW, syncing to dropbox is equally as attractive.
