I recently upgraded to Hangouts 19 (from 16, I think) running on iOS 11. When I tap a link to a Web page, it opens in an embedded browser instead of in Safari. This then "blocks" me from chats until I either close the page or tap on the separate Safari icon to open a proper Safari instance.

In Settings/Google Apps, I have Safari set as the default browser but this seems to be ignored. If I set it to ask every time, then it doesn't ask.

Has anyone else run into this? I do have a backup of the previous version (thanks to iTunes 12.6!) but would prefer to fix it properly; is there a setting that I've missed somewhere?
