hangs at macos x startup screen (blue bar loads then hangs)

Hi Everyone, new to forum/

Used' disk warrior already to correct any directory errors but I still cannot get past "starting macos x".

Original problem started when safari was reloaded using pacifist.
Used fsck and everything incl. volume is fine...pls help, what am i missing????
