Hi.
I am using a MacBook Pro (2011 -- MacBookPro8.2 with OS10.6.8). Everything was working fine until several months ago when my mac started hanging up ie. freezing on the blue screen when I shut it down. Freezes not every time, but often. I then need to hold down the power button to turn it off.
I had read the Kaspersky antivirus software can cause this problem, and indeed, I had installed this software a bit before I began having this problem. I have uninstalled this software, but the problem persists.
Using console, I see that there are 3 messages from the time when I last tried to shutdown and had it hang-up. They are:
com.apple.launchid.peruser.501[90] (com.apple.AirPortBaseStationAgent[113]) Exited: Killed
imagent[115] Unable to create APS daemon connection: (ipc/mig) server died
imagent[115] Unable to set enabled topics: (ipc/send) invalid destination port
And the following info from system log:
