Happy 5 Years at MacRumors

As 2007 begins so does the 5 year anniversary of many of the members here who joined around MWSF 02. In what was the start of the big influx of members that made this site popular it is a good idea to thank those that stayed around all these years to keep this site great. While many have come and gone the core of those that make it great here have remained. As MWSF 07 draws near heres to another 5 great years.

I remember all of you new folks rushing in. There was Small Pox among the tribes for the first time, thousands died before we ever knew what happened. When our east coast bretheren saw the first of you on your wooden ships they thought you were bears climbing in the trees of some strange magical islets. Little did they know what would follow. Little matter now.... Try the slot machines, the good ones are only a quarter.

I think Jan 2002 is when I started lurking.

I think I made an account before WWDC because I wanted to ask a single question. After that, I forgot my login and password, and I didn't bother checking my email for the info since I thought I'd never come back here.

Started a 2nd account before MWSF to ask another question, and have ruined the user experience here at MacRumours ever since.

Just rolled through 4 years...about 3 weeks before MWSF '03 is when I joined. I remember watching the live updates in my friend's dorm room freshman year of high school.
