HAPPY CANADA DAY! 140 years old today.

I'm heading down to the Hill in a few minutes.
Have a great day my fellow Canucks:)

I have a lovely Canada tattoo on my right hand at the moment.

Ran the HBC Run For Canada 10k this morning. It was freakin' fantastic.

Beaver tails with sugar. Yummy. (No, it's not animal; it's a flattened donut).
Is this only a Quebec thing, BTW? Also, how is Moving Day in Quebec a Canada Day thing? Was this a political decision?

While we're putting take-out orders in, can I have some chips with poutine? Thank-you.

Happy Canada Day to all our Canadian Mac fiends. :)

Yep, Moving Day is pretty much Quebec only. While I don't believe it was intentionally scheduled as an affront to the rest of Canada, there is definitely that kind of sentiment in Montreal, at least.

Quebec actually celebrated its "National Holiday" a week ago. Big party, that was...hahaha.

Can someone please bring me some timbits while we're doing this whole Canada day thing? I'll pass you a twoney. :)

That's toonie, which was originally called the moonie because the first two-dollar coins featured the Queen with a "bear" bum :p

yes

happy Canada day to us...

this year I'm extra happy to be a Canuck, watching Sicko and Shut up and Sing back to back will have that effect.

I'm also happy that Vancouver decided to bring back the Canada Day Fireworks, i'll be there.

What would really make this a happy Canada Day, would be if I was taking pics of those fireworks, and calling my friend to come down, looking up the directions on google maps, and finally jamming out to an mp3 of O Canada....on my iPhone...that I bought at an Apple store....oh wait....we got no Apple store let alone iPhones....

oh well, at least we have fireworks....and little Canadian flags...eh?

It's actually just called a poutine. It's french fries, with gravy and mozzarella curd.

So delicious, but so not healthy. Tomorrow being Friday I may just get myself one.
