New York, Baby!
I'm celebrating by going to the DMV to get a Learner's Permit (UK license doesn't work here...

What are you doing?

That's the line for the DMV?

Do yourself a favor and go tomorrow. The DMVs are always busy on the last days of the month with people waiting until the last minute to renew their plates.

Based on the time, that's the line before they open.

I have a friend who's birthday it is today. Born in 1952, he's either 60 or 15 take your pick.

Ha, I'm English so enjoy the odd queue. Just waiting for the results of my written test...

I find Leap Year Day is an excellent time to step back and take stock, and think about past, present and future.

It is an interesting and thought-provoking and I like it; Happy Leap Year Day to one and all here on MR.

I passed my driving theory test today so yeah, happy day :D

I can tell you right now that the NY written test is 100x easier than the UK theory test!

20 easy questions, no hazard perception and you can get 6 out of the 20 wrong and still pass!

I was four days off from being a leap-day baby. (Birthday was four days ago.)

Today, I'm editing an independent movie... as I have been for months now. Can't wait to get it done, actually. I need to cut down on my MR visits. :p

Me too. A friend of mine just turned 10 today.

Query: does that mean that she would have to be 84 to legally be able to drink in the US?

BL.

Time to revive this thread from 2012. Happy Leap Day!

Was anybody here born on Leap Day? When do you celebrate in non-leap years?

Well, some people do their internal mental - and personal and, or, professional audit on Jan 1, or December 31 on an annual basis; instead, I tend to do mine on February 29, - every four years - and it is usually a fairly thought-provoking exercise.
