I hope this is the right forum.

I'm fancying the "Happy Mac" dude at the moment, but the highest resolution I can find him is 32x32, does anybody have like a 128x128px version of the guy?

Just in case you're confused, I want the guy that came on the screen when you booted your OS 9 Mac:

Do you mean like your avatar enlarged?

Graphics program-->Image size->resample- Nearest Neighbor (for a sharp more OS9 like version.

If you lack a graphics program, you can do this if you have developer tools installed. Use SpotLight to find CoreImageFunhouse.app. Though I did this with Adobe PS.

Others will now blow my renditions away.

It has to look the same as it does small, but bigger.

He gave you that. Just trim out the blue if you want no background. You can make it a little smoother and give it some texture if you want it to blend with other OS X icons, but if all you want is that icon enlarged, all you need to do is enlarge it. :)

I'm guessing he's asking for a fancy, anti-aliased version with more detail if he doesn't like the one posted above, but that's just going against tradition--if you're going to go retro, you've gotta stick to the low-rez.

The happy Mac never existed in any form but 32X32 pixels, after all, so there is no "high quality" version unless someone else has made it. Same with Clarus the Dogcow--when Apple built 10 foot tall statue in their icon garden, it was just as pixelated as the tiny original. That's the nature of the beast, so to speak.
