I would rather pay extra and get the "great new year" model, as it also comes with AC+. I saw the mediocre new year and I don't think the specs would be what I need. It also had some scratches and dings, which would bother me.

I made it to 12:15am but, it was a struggle when one gets up at 5am or sooner. lol Hope everyone had a pleasant celebration. I spent my evening here on MR where it is safe.

I don’t even try. Just go to sleep when I’m tired. I think I was awake this year, but more chance than design.
I haven't stayed up in years but, thought I would give it the ole college try. I could hear my body saying you are getting too old for this kind of thing. lol
Lol. Generally I go to bed, watch tv and fall asleep. That’s how I doze off most nights.
We were just watching a film, I didn't even realise we'd got past the bells until the wife came bouncing across the room to give me a kiss and wish me happy new year. Man I'm getting old, gone are the days when I'd be chemically enhanced, bouncing around a room. Actually that's not true, just nowadays the chemicals are prescribed
Happy New Year!!! I brought New Year in with my kids and my fiancé. I bought the kids plastic wine flutes with sparkling cider, which was actually good. We counted down until the ball dropped and chilled until everyone started getting sleepy.

For me, it was a strange year; 2019, and 2018 were worse, but I am aware that some people had a very very, tough year & an exceptionally difficult time in 2020 (my sister-in-law, for one).
I’m the same ultimately. Sure, I got COVID and it wrecked havoc with my immune system, but I recovered. I got the all clear from cancer, which is nice. The wife got a new job, which she loves and is a big step up from her old one.
Yeah, we’ve had a lot of lockdown issues, but hell, I work from home anyway, so no different there. The wife’s been working from home, which has made sneaking my techy toys in without her noticing a bit of a challenge - but gives my brain a chance to be creative with excuses
Overall I can’t complain, despite the odd problems, it was a good year overall..... Not that I would complain if 2021 is even better
