Hi everyone, does anyone noticed a difference on haptic feedback after upgrading to iOS 17.1 ? Notifications coming from apps like twitter and instagram feels like the taptic engine is broken with ios 17.1. Maybe it is related with my phone i didn't understand. It differs on every app, some of them are normal. I'm using 15 pro max, hope the taptic engine is not broken.

Do you mean it feels more 'springier'? Then yes, I've noticed that as well.

Exactly. But it works normal on some apps like gmail, but twitter notifications makes me feel like the phone is broken. I got my replacement 15 pm today, so i don't know that it's a problem or just a software bug?

The haptics are tied to the sound pattern of the notification. I don't use the Gmail app so I'm guessing its notification sound is different from Twitter, which I think uses the stock notification sound? Yes I noticed this after updating to 17.1.

Thank you, hope Apple fixes this problem as soon as possible.
