I've got haptics and sounds cranked all the way up, but am not getting taps on turn-by-turn navigation. Anyone else seeing this?

I get them but I can't distinguish them.

If you start the navi from your phone, could your phone put out verbal directions while the watch does haptic and display?

The very little audio and sounds that the watch puts out was a surprise to me. I guess it would kill the battery. I.e. Siri never speaks, very little audio feedback sounds, etc.

It was enabled by default for me as well, but I'm really not sure if I can tell the difference between the two types of turns. I haven't tried much though.

Second that. Not a clue what left and right taps are haha

Fixed by turning on custom notifications in Watch app on phone (ie not mirrored phone settings), enabling all notifications, then restarting the Watch.

For what, maps? Because I can't find that option for some reason... Just a choice to show in glances or not
