Haptic home button feedback less noticeable in cold?

As the temperatures have started dropping I've noticed that the haptic feedback from my iPhone 7 home button is less noticeable when my hands are cold. Sometimes I don't feel any feedback at all - almost the same as when the phone is powered off. Has anyone else experienced this?
