Hard disc choice

Hi.
I'm want to buy and external hard-disc for my iMac.
In this hard-disc, i'm only gonna put my music files.
I'm hesitating between 2 kinds:

1) Lacie 250 GB USB 2.0 External Hard Drive

2) LaCie 250GB d2 External Hard Drive Extreme USB 2.0 and FireWire 400/800 Interfaces (http://www.amazon.com/LaCie-Externa...s_3/002-6940899-5710411?ie=UTF8&s=electronics)

Is the cheaper one (number 1) is enough for what I need (only for storing music files), or should I go for number 2?

Number 1 would be fine transfering music and backups and number 2 would be faster in transfering with the firewire but like you said number 1 would work fine for the price
