Hard disk error; 2STF/2/3:ATA-100ata-6-master

Hello,
I think my hard disk has had a terminal failure?
Apple hardware test shows the above error!
Have zapped the PRAM and PMU.
Cannot fire computer up in target disk mode?
Is there anyway at all of recovering files??
