Hard Disk Recovery

Hi,

Any recommendations on a company that does Hard Disk Recovery? I just got quoted by Disk Doctors out of San Jose for $1650 for a 40GB drive that came back with:

• Media Errors Detected.
• Unstable Head Disk Assembly (unable to read/write).

Any help will be appriciated

Recommendations in price or quality? If you're talking about price, it's not going to get much (if any) lower. As to quality-- no idea. I can't afford hard disk recovery! (Which is why I should have backed up before my hard drive crashed .)

If you are concerned about price, Disk Doctors's prices are in line with industry norms. They are more expensive than regular back-ups, but they are cheaper than lost essential data.
