Not a disk speed test that just writes and reads a file, but an actual benchmark program that tests speeds of all parts of the disk and tests the seek time and all that stuff. The disk speed test just writes a file and usually this gets placed at the end of the data, so if the drive is full it would be placed near the center which is slower and the speed test wont be accurate.
