Hard Drive case

I want to take my 60 gig internal HD out of my G3 and use it as an external for my G5. A few questions- where is a good place online to buy a cheap external case? Do I go with USB2 or firewire? Is it easy to put an internal into a case? Does the case need to plug into a wall socket or are these things self powered? I see some have fans and some don't. Does it need a fan?
