Hard Drive Compatibility

I completely filled the original 320GB hard drive of my 2008 Unibody Macbook Pro 15". I went to Best Buy's website and found this incredible deal, and I was wondering whether or not it would be compatible with my computer. The link is below. Thanks.

No, you need a 2.5" S-ATA HDD, what you linked to is a desktop 3.5" HDD.

This for example is a 2.5" S-ATA 1TB HDD fro 207 USD.

The 2.5" HDDs cost more due to the smaller size and as 1TB HDDs haven't been out long for this form factor.

Here are some more compatible 2.5" S-ATA HDDs.

I'm fairly confident that this one is a 3.5" one and you'll need a 2.5" HDD with SATA connections.

It will be more expensive. You might even want to settle at 500GB.

Sorry, I changed the link. Can you check again? The customer reviews show that the hard drive is used in Macbooks. I just wanted to be sure that I wasn't dropping $100 for nothing.

That new drive is okay.

It's a good HDD, but wouldn't you want a faster spinning one with large buffer? The premium is relatively small but it makes a big difference in general use.
