My 160GB hard drive crashed, and some tech people tried to fix it by freezing it, which they said would work 60% of the time. Apparently, my hard drive was in the other 40%. They said that my data could not be recovered. I had been working on an iPhone app for 3 weeks and was satisfied with how it came out, and now my code is gone... the code that I had slaved over every day.

The point I am trying to get to is this: I found a website that promised to save my data, but I am not sure how much it costs, if it would work, or if there is another better place.

I do not know if it matters, but there was a folder icon with a question mark when I tried to boot up OSX... The computer was rendered useless until I got a new hard drive. It would also be nice to see if anyone had anything similar done and could tell me their experience and how much it cost.
